Meet Paco

He was more than my dog.
Paco was my soulmate, my emotional anchor, my joy.
Everyone who met him fell in love. How could they not?

Then one quiet morning in the hills of Mexico, everything changed.

Paco was ripped from this world by starving feral dogs.
I held his tiny body for hours, numb, soaked in his blood — feeling the universe shrink to that single, devastating moment.
Nothing else mattered.
I didn’t care if I ever stood up again.

But my other rescued dogs... they did.
They pressed their noses into me, pawed at my heart, silently begging me to Rise Up.
They needed me — even when I had nothing left.

And in that hollow darkness, a spark.
A whisper that this pain couldn’t be for nothing.

So I made a promise to Paco:
That his death would birth hope.
That through him, thousands of other dogs would be saved from needless suffering.
That I would build a legacy of compassion right here in his home country of Mexico — funding sterilization clinics, helping local rescues, stopping the heartbreak before it ever begins.

That’s how The Paco Project™ was born.

Because even in the deepest grief, love can build something beautiful.

Our Mission

The Paco Project funds life-saving sterilization clinics, already established rescue foundations, Starting in our small village then growing across Mexico and beyond — we’re rewriting what’s possible for these forgotten souls.

We support already established Rescues that are desperate for support financially for food, sterilization clinics and vet funding.

Sterilization Clinics

We have ongoing collaborations with clinics throughout Puerto Vallarta and beyond. The Paco Project is raising funds to help fund these clinics, create more in the villages, and provide transportation for the responsible humans with big hearts but no way to transport.
